This is my third post about New Orleans. Aren’t you supposed to save the best for last? We ate all over the city from a quick sandwich to a full meal and honestly we enjoyed everything. We even had dinner at a tiny place near Bourbon St. – I chose the homage to “Bitch Please” (BP) which was a duck breast flash fried in oil with a sticky black goo and dirty rice – delicious. Here are just a few you must consider if you venture to NOLA:
Dante’s Kitchen – try to sit outside in the garden or for more intimacy, the porch.
You always want a hot momma at your table at Dantes!
Jacques Imos Cafe – down home New Orleans cookin’. Ask for a table in back so you can walk through the kitchen. If he’s had enough to drink, you may witness the staff carrying the proprietor around the cafe overhead on a chair!
Echo Cafe – charming decor and tapas to die for. Breakfast and lunch are top-notch, too. We know. We had all three.
If you come to NOLA and fail to go to
which you must have fresh so get here early (they open at 7:00), I will never blog again my heart will be so broken. But please don’t dress like a hippie, cause
