Bessie is nine years old and in dog years that would make her 63. I don’t know, does that sound right? How often should you redecorate a coach or a dog for that matter? But hey, it’s a dog eat coach world out there and looking your best gives you a leg up on the competition. Heck, we’ve come across some snooty RV resorts that won’t let you in if your ride is more than 10 years old! I told wifey “I don’t wanna play with those kids, anyway.” and I took my ball and went home to a state park where they’d let Charles Manson stay. Now, Bessie is very well-preserved but I got to thinking, “When you’re traveling in a space ship and they put you in suspended animation and you finally wake up, you feel great but you still have the same hairdo you had 273,000 light years ago.” Just look at one of your yearbook pictures. So, we decided to give Bessie a new hairdo and here’s how it went.
Original interior:
Lots of browns and some gold knobs and gold light fixtures.
We got some great advice from our friend Gay Curtis in Sarasota and here’s the result:
New bedding, dark knobs and new fabric around the bed recess.
New chairs with fun fabric cushions.
Recovered valance and new light fixtures.
What a difference some color makes! A few little changes have really made a difference. Now if I can just do something about my hair…………
Looks fabulous! You guys should go into the “Re-decorating RV’s” business!
Thanks Gay! But we learned all we know from you!
